Flash Fire at Mexico City Metro Station Due to Short Circuit

On Wednesday, April 8, at 12:00, a short circuit occurred at the Salto del Agua station on Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro due to a metal object on the tracks, causing a flash fire. The train was removed from the line for inspection, according to Metro System General Director Adrián Rubalcava. He confirmed that no injuries were reported. Rubalcava also stated that three passengers who suffered nervous breakdowns were attended to by Civil Protection and Industrial Safety personnel and left on their own. He added that train traffic on Line 1 and the rest of the network remains continuous. Earlier, users on social media reported a loud bang and smoke at the station.
